Summer

Villars-sur-Ollon is an ideal location to enjoy some mountain fresh air to cool down in the summer, and to discover the many hiking and cycling trails and the climbing routes in the area. For the most adventurous, a mountain bike rental, some motorcycle trails, a paragliding takeoff, a highrope course or an alpine slide ride will quench their thirst of sensations. An 18-hole golf course with a panoramic view on the mountains is a lovely place to spend a sunny day relaxing. If it’s hot you can go take a refreshing dip in one of the many lakes or the Villars baths.

Winter

The station is right at the bottom of the slopes and you will be able to enjoy the large skiing domain to practice alpine, nordic or cross-country skiing and even biathlon. Children can perfect their technique at the ski school. Other activities include snow-shoeing, winter hiking or freestyle skiing at the snowpark. You can come relax in the indoors and outdoors heated pools of the Villars baths while enjoying a spectacular view on the mountains.

The Villars Baths

After a day of hiking or skiing, come unwind at the Villars Baths to enjoy a panoramic view on the mountains while relaxing in the outdoors heated pool, the sauna or the steam bath.

For the most motivated, the variable depth swimming pool is a great place to train or play some games, and the exterior slide will delight children and adults alike.

Our best hikes

Summer and winter, you can discover the many hiking trails starting from Villars-sur-Ollon. In winter, the Villars – La Verneyre trail will take you through snowy landscapes on the road to the Col de la Croix up to the La Verneyre refuge, 45mn walk from the apartment. If you stop there, we recommend the delicious apple pie. In summer, go enjoy a cheese fondue at the Taveyanne pasture accessible by car or on foot from the Col de la Croix. Take a moment to admire the gypsum pyramids, a geological curiosity created by erosion, from the top of the pass. Last but not least, we suggest you attempt the climb from Solalex to Anzeindaz and the walk to the Pas de Cheville, or even Derborence for the most experienced hikers. In winter, we recommend the gorgeous nordic skiing or snowshoeing hike up the to the Solalex parking lot.

Villars Golf Club

A golf course in a splendid setting, on a plateau situated at an altitude of 1,660 m.

In winter you will still be able to enjoy the delicious gastronomic restaurant and its panoramic view on Mont-Blanc.
